Amy Arruda, LCSW
You might be doing everything you’re “supposed” to do…
and still feel stuck.
You might feel:
Emotionally overwhelmed or constantly on edge
Exhausted from holding everything together
Disconnected from yourself or your life
Frustrated that nothing has actually changed
Or maybe you’ve tried therapy before…
and it felt surface-level, rushed, or like something was missing.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
And you’re not doing anything wrong.

Most approaches focus on managing symptoms. My work focus on helping you heal at the root.
That means looking at:
how your nervous system has learned to respond
how trauma is stored in your body
what's underneath the overwhelm - not just on the surface
We don't just talk about what is happening.
We work with how your mind and body are holding onto it.
Because when that begins to shift... life begins to feel different.
Amy works with:
Teens who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or shut down
Support that feels real - not forced, scripted, or surface-level.
Mothers who feel anxious depleted, or lost in the overwhelm
A space to reconnect with yourself without guilt or pressure.
Women ready to break patterns and reclaim their lives
Healing that goes beyond coping and into real change.

A Plus Lifestyles provides individual therapy services in a supportive, confidential setting for adults and children navigating life's challenges.
We begin with a simple, no-pressure consultation where you can share what’s been going on and ask any questions. This helps us determine if this feels like the right fit before moving forward.
If you decide to move forward, you’ll schedule your first session and receive access to a secure client portal.
There, you’ll:
- complete your intake forms
- review and sign consent documents
- enter any required information privately and securely
This ensures everything is in place before your first session — so we can focus on you, not paperwork.
In your sessions, we focus on helping your nervous system process what it’s been holding — using EMDR and holistic therapy to support real, lasting change at a pace that feels safe.

Hi, I’m Amy.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker, and my work is centered around helping people move out of survival mode and into real healing.
I believe healing is possible — not just managing symptoms, but actually resolving what’s underneath.
My approach is honest, grounded, and deeply respectful of your process. I’m not here to give you surface-level answers. I’m here to help you understand what’s really going on — and support you as it begins to shift.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
You don't have to explain everything perfectly.
And you don't have to be "ready" in some ideal way.
If something in you is saying, "there has to be another way..." that's enough.
If you're ready to explore a different approach to healing...
